At Vapor4life, our goal has always been to help smokers make the switch to vaping and then to encourage vapers to gradually reduce their nicotine level. The eventual goal is a life free from nicotine and vaping entirely. For this reason we offer a huge selection of vaping devices and ejuices. Our series on the Road to Zero Nicotine has featured several of these options already.

The popularity of prefilled vape pods and disposable vapes was kick started by nic salts. Check out our review of the Juul versus Vuse Alto for a rundown on the benefits and limitations of prefilled vape kits, the primary weakness of which is a federal ban which removed flavored prefilled pods and carts from the market.

Smooth and satisfying, the lower pH of nic salts allows ejuice manufacturers to ratchet the potency up to five or even in excess of 6 percent. Yet even at these levels, nic salts have a smooth throat hit.

Most Nic Salt manufacturers churn out two strengths of ejuice, the lower end of potency ranges between 2.5 and 3.5 percent. The most powerful nic salts usually hit between 4.5 and 5 percent, although 6 percent and above is not uncommon in disposables.

For vapers looking to ratchet down their nicotine, regular ejuice is often the answer. High VG Eliquids work great in low resistance devices and generate massive clouds. He PG ejuices, like the Wow and Premium Line, have crystal flavor. Now it is time to take a look at the vape pods on the market which would make a great vehicle in your drive for lower nicotine.

Refillable vape pod kits aren’t exactly synonymous with lower nicotine vape juices. They are associated with nic salt ejuices. But as this segment has developed, multiple pod options have been available and many models have swappable coils. This gives them the flexibility to handle any kind of vape juice.

Refillable vape pod kits come in a wide range of shapes and sizes. They range from the mighty Smok RPM8o to the tiny Baton V2. Now let’s take a look at some of the best refillable vape pods on the market today.

RPM stands for the real pod mod. Apart from its even bigger sibling, the Smok RPM80, there is no vape pod with greater flexibility. Check out our feature comparing the Smok RPM40 versus the Smok RPM80. With adjustable wattage and two huge coil families to choose from, you can switch between high resistance nic salt coils and low resistance coils ideal for lower nicotine vape juices.

The Smok RPM40 comes with two pods. There is the Nord Pod, which is compatible with the complete family of Nord coils. Then there is the RPM pod. Both come with the Smok RPM40 vape pod kit, the RPM pod is delivered with a cloud chucking 0.4ohm mesh coil that takes full advantage of the RPM40’s 40w output. The 0.6ohm Nord coil is also legendary for its high VG vape juice chops. But nic salts are covered two, the Nord pod is compatible with the outstanding 1.4ohm ceramic coils. With a headspinning selection of coil options and solid performance. There is no better device for switching between nic salts and lower nicotine regular ejuices.

The Smok Novo 2 looks a lot like the original Smok Novo but is a huge upgrade. It has an 800mAh battery, which is twice the life of the original. But it maintains the same miniscule size and provides the same tight autodraw hit. The Smok Novo 2 has updated pod choices, a 1.0ohm Mesh and 1.4ohm regular pod. These both deliver tremendous flavor. The 1.0ohm mesh is designed for regular ejuices and the greater power of the Novo 2 allows it to handle higher VG juices. Here is our comparison of the Smok Novo versus the Smok Novo 2.
